Do these 5 things every. Single. Day. To prevent those pesky fine lines and wrinkles.
Wrinkles happen over time, intrinsically, collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production slow as the years go by. These essential compounds are what give skin elasticity and plumpness—key components to youthful-looking skin. As skin makes less, it will appear less plump, and this is when the wrinkles set in. As well, environmental factors such as UV rays and pollution accelerate these changes—which is why wrinkles can be visible as early as our mid-20s.
Let's learn how to help prevent wrinkles in other ways and how to minimize their appearance overall.
Here are the 5 everyday things you can do to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles:
1 - Become a sunscreen obsessive
UV rays from the sun cause damage to the skin, and that damage causes premature skin aging and can trigger precancerous skin changes or even skin cancer. Critical defense against wrinkles and skin cancers that are caused by sun damage is sun protection. Gleem Beauty's One and Done with SPF 30 and vitamin C beads is packed with added skincare benefits. Adding Gleem's sun protection to your daily routine can be one of the best ways to avoid premature wrinkles.
2 - Seek out antioxidants
Meet another anti-wrinkle all–star: Aloe Vera. Gleem Beauty's base ingredient is packed with antioxidants like vitamins C and E that help protect your skin from free radicals—unstable atoms that can damage skin cells—which can be introduced through environmental factors like UV light, pollution, smoking and unhealthy foods. Aloe Vera is in all of our products, even our One and Done with SPF offers both broad-spectrum protection and antioxidant, so you can fight the sun and free radicals in one step.
3 - Make hydration a priority
Dry skin emphasizes fine lines and wrinkles, but when the skin is well hydrated both it appears plumper and healthier. To complement your daily water intake, add Gleem Beauty's Soft Immersion Moisturizer. Moisture is a naturally occurring compound in the skin that we produce less of as we age. Among its many benefits, the steric Acid protect skin's surface against water loss and help shore up skin's protective barrier and reduces eczema symptoms.
4 - Check your stress
You wear SPF. You’re obsessed with antioxidants. You never fall asleep with makeup on. Stress can lead to premature lines and wrinkles. Chronic stress results in a constant flood of cortisol that spreads throughout your body and skin. Stress reduces the skin’s ability to hold essential water, which can harm the your skins barrier and instigate wrinkle formation. Also too much cortisol inhibits skin’s ability to heal from wounds. Whatever you do to unwind and keep stress levels low, do it daily. .
5 - Healthy lifestyle is the way
We already know a healthy lifestyle can contribute to overall greater wellbeing so don't get bogged down with addictive stress relief, for example, smoking has one of the most dramatic impacts on aging, causing skin to look wrinkled and shallow. Other life choices helps decrease premature aging. Minimize your intake of sugar and alcohol (which dehydrates skin), while increasing intake of fruits and vegetables. Lastly Regular exercise increases circulation throughout your body, including skin.
What can you do about the wrinkles you already have? Skincare doesn’t have to be 20 steps. Gleem Beauty's 3 step anti-aging routine—particularly with increased collagen and elastin production, effectively plumping, hydrating and firming; will be quite beneficial at any age. Thank you for all the great info. I just purchase both of the mask sets, not sure how to use them? Do I wet the sheet mask with water then put in the fridge? Do I with the brush apply the creams to my face or sheet? Is the sheet reusable? When is the best time to use them morning or night?
Please help me! I’m excited and looking forward to the out come.
